The tiered silhouette definitely has a boho vibe to it. And yet, it managed not to fall over into hippie territory. The fabric’s a blend of linen and cotton — cool, but not as likely to rumple as either fiber would be alone. The smocking’s in the back, where it snugs the dress just a tad so it fits smoothly all around. Thoughtful touches include a full lining, so you won’t have to search for the right slip. 53% linen/47% cotton. Machine wash. Imported.

I LOVE this dress, BUT...
I saw the other reviews to order down a size, factored in the smocking and the long straps, and ordered down two sizes. Mistake! The hip-level seam does not stretch and is kind of snug, so there's less of a fudge factor there. Also, the bodice is kind of weird - the fabric squeezes the tops of your boobs and makes you look like you have saggy chest, BUT this might be because I got a size too small. Also, the straps are indeed WAY too long and they aren't adjustable. At the corners of the neckline I had a little bit of my bra showing.
That being said, I give this 4 stars because I LOVE the overall dress! The fabric is super-soft. I usually don't like linen, but I LOVE this linen-cotton blend. I ordered the blue color and there is no peekaboo of my underclothes - the lining is very soft and does its job. I also love the shape - it's very flattering! The fit on the model is weird - I don't know why it's baggy by her hips. I didn't have the same problem. I'm 5'11" and always looking for dresses that will hit right below my knees. This one did! My measurements are 41-34-43 and the size 10 barely fit. I sent for size 12 in both colors and I'm hoping they'll be a perfect fit! I could see myself wearing these all summer!!!
I took away one star for the long straps. There's no way to get around it, I think for this to fit right you'll have to shorten them. My plan is to just fold over an inch or two at the very back and sew it in place. Nobody will know and it's a fairly simple adjustment with no cutting needed. If you're willing to do this, give this dress a try!

Does not fit nicely at bust
I ordered this in both white and blue and both were disappointing. The bodice is very small compared to the rest of the dress. The square cut did not look nice against my bust. The neckline seemed small. The rest of the dress is like a giant, billowy skirt. I then put on a cardigan to see if the neckline looked any better and it did not.

Can't wait for summer to come back.
I purchased this dress in white and liked it so much I also ordered it in blue. I wear a ten in most dresses and tops but ordered the eight as some said it ran big. The eight fits me perfectly. I am 5'7" and 123 pounds. I love the fabric. It has a nice weight to it especially since it is lined. Will get lots of wear out of these.

Straps fall down
This dress is very pretty and I was looking forward to wearing it. Unfortunately, the straps are either too thin or too long, or perhaps both, as they kept falling off. Which as everyone knows is really annoying. So I returned it. Am hoping LE can stock another one similar to this but with thicker straps, or maybe straps that cross in the back.

I love the dress
I could hardly believe the reviews on this dress. I bought it in the store and I find the dress very flattering. I wear an eight or ten, five foot seven inches, the ten fit perfect and I had no problems with the straps. The dress is well lined and hangs just right on me. It is a "heavy" dress so if it were very hot and humid I think the dress would be too hot to wear if one was going to be outdoors all night.

Nice Summer Dress
I bought the 14 and took it back and got the 18. I have worn it a few times, and it is working out really well for me. I plan on buying the blue.

Way too big especially in the chest
(I'm Mrs. SlimJim) This dress is at least one size too big, furthermore it seems designed for tall and very busty ladies. I'm 5'6" and small on top. The straps were too long, and the entire chest area was too wide. It was slip sliding all over the place.

Awful styling
I purchased this dress in the blue size large. I am a pear-shaped size 14 . The only thing flattering about this dress is length. The straps are too long, the bodice is in no way form fitting and although it is modeled with a belt, there was no flattering way to replicate that because the first ruffle hits right below the bustline. I sent this dress back. Thank-you, Lands End, for your wonderful return policy!
