Very flattering
I love the coordinating slip and the tabs that you can use to secure it to your bra strap. I'm 5 foot 6 and this fits me just right at the waist and an inch or two above the knee. The ruffles and extra material on top are super flattering, giving me more fullness on top where I need it and balancing out my hips. I love the drape of the sleeves, too many Lands End dresses are sleeveless. the self belt gives it definition at the waist.

Weird Fit, Strange Fabric
I bought this dress because I liked the purples in it and assumed the fit would be flattering. It was alittle bigger then average Lands End dresses so i went down a size and thought it would be ok. After wearing it one day i decided to return it. The fabrics werent like I thought they would be and the colors just werent ok for me. I am a twenty year old woman and it just wasnt working for me. I have since returned it and do not miss it

Pretty fabric, dumpy fit
I really wanted to like this. The fabric is pretty but the fit is very odd. The waist is high and there is an awful lot of excess fabric on the top. It's going back. Very unflattering.

Not a good look
I purchased this dress, since it looked so nice on the model and the price was incredible. I tried it on at home and all I could think of is, " I look like Eunice from the old Carol Burnett Show!" It was so unflattering that I will be sending it back. Thank goodness Land's End has such a great return policy.

Beautiful dress, easy to wear
I am wearing this dress as I write the review. The fit is a little big, I'll definitely always wear it with a belt, but the print and fabric are lovely. I'm 5'4" and about 135, so slim and curvy and this dress fits very well. The inner slip can be taken out completely (it isn't attached to the dress itself) so if the slimmer fit of the slip is the problem, you could substitute one of your own. i'm a high school science teacher and this is exactly the kind of simple, comfortable, but still sleek thing I want to wear while running around my classroom and is certainly pretty enough to wear out to dinner or a casual wedding post-teaching.

Very pretty
Fit is true to size, hits just above my knee at 5'8" . The waist is a little high, but nothing drastic. Looks great with boots and a cardigan at work, and can be dressed up for going out afterwards. I stuff it into a backpack and dress at work when I arrive, and outcomes out looking fantastic.

Awkward fit - extremely high waisted.
I am 5'7" and typically wear a size 10-12 dress. The fabric of this dress is very pretty, but the fit was not flattering and the dress seemed to run small. The waist was right under the breastline and the length came well above my knees. Perhaps this one was sized incorrectly, but I would only suggest this one for shorter waisted women. I was very disappointed as this would be a gorgeous fall dress with a sweater and boots.

Nice print and fabric, lousy fit.
The print is beautiful and the fabric lays very nice. But the fit was bizarre. First, the dress was shorter than I expected. I'm 5'2", and it hit just above the knee. Not too short, but getting there for a work dress (I ordered a 6P). But the really weird part was there was all this extra fabric underneath and to the sides of the bust. If you look in the picture on the model (the pic without the cardi) you can kind of see it billowing out and touching her bicep. It just looks... dumpy. It made me look like somebody's dumpy old grandma who doesn't wear a bra. Not at all flattering. It's a shame, because with a jacket on over it, the skirt part is really nice looking (if a tad short), but even for the INCREDIBLE sale price I got, I just can't keep it. I bought another style of dress, and it had that same extra fabric underneath and to the sides of the bustline. Very strange. Perhaps on someone VERY VERY large-chested this would be a good fit? Or if you always planned to wear a jacket or cardigan over it, it would work.

Lovely, feminine dress
This is a very nice dress. I love the gorgeous fabric, and all the ruffles on the bodice. I feel very pretty in this dress. They thought of the nice detail of including a dark purple slip. My only complaint would be that it's pretty low cut. I just use a brown scoop neck half tee shirt underneath, for modesty. Problem solved. I wear this with brown tights and it comes together great! Unbelievably good buy at this clearance price.
I am 4'11", 100 lbs, and bought this in 2P. Thank you Lands End for making this size! Many retailers start at 4P which is too big for some of us!
