Women's Powder Belle Booties
A little dissappointed
I am a little disappointed by this boot. I have been looking for a boot that is warm. My toes always seem to be cold. These boots were not those boots for me. My toes are still cold. They are cute and I wear them, but will have to keep looking for the perfect boot.

no comfortable insoles
This is the second pair of boots from LE that does not have comfortable insoles that I though were LE standard. If you have an Achille's heal like me, you will have to add soles. Other than that the boot is non skid, warm for just around freezing weather , cute but not with slacks as another reviewer pointed out because of the tuft of faux fur. They look good with leggings (the corderoy ones from LE are great) or with a winter skirt. They're cute but not dressy. I like them a lot and thought they were a good buy but I can't walk in them for very long and that's a disappointment.

I like these a LOT!
I bought these on sale, in fawn, the only color available in my size. When I opened them I thought I'd have trouble getting them on and off (foot problems so I can't push very hard). My feet slip into and out of these easily. The fawn is very nice.
These replace another pair of LandEnd boots which i bought in early 2007 -- I expect that these will last just as long. The old boots are still good but I wanted something a little updated.
I love LandsEnd -- They've never let me down.

I am a picky shoe buyer!
I have been buying Lands End shoes/boots for over 12 years. Some I love, some not so much. I LOVE THESE BOOTS!! I can rarely put on a pair of shoes the first day and wear them all day. I wear an 8 and bought an 8. I usually buy larger sizes in boots but I read the reviews and stuck with my actual size. These will tend to "give" a little in the future so they'll contour better to my own foot after time but they are still comfortable after wearing them 8+ hours on day 1. The bone on my pinky toe has a slight bump on it so I have to be careful of narrow shoes and these fit perfectly. I didn't wear them with slim or "skinny" jeans but they would look cute with them. I wore regular jeans and folded them inward to bring them up a little bit. As far as temperatures go, it's been cold here in Boise. The highs have not been beyond 17. The lows have dipped into the negatives. I did not wear wool socks with these and my feet were perfectly warm. They are not insulated snow boots but I had no cold feet (and my feet are usually the first to get cold!). I personally prefer that they just slip on. I don't enjoy tying boots strings. All in all they are cute, comfy and warm. I even ordered the gray pair yesterday after wearing the tan pair two days in a row. Watch for a coupon and free shipping to make these a SCREAMIN' deal!

Disappointing for me
This was my first order of actual shoes from Landsend. Last year I ordered some slippers and I am happy with them and still wearing them.
Very little cushioning in sole and no arch support at all. I had to put gell inserts in them immediately. With inserts they were at least wearable but I would never be able to spend a day walking in them.
Fortunately I live in a very mild location so don't need warm boots. There is no insulation on the top of the foot. I would not want to depend on these to keep my feet warm in a colder climate.
The fur is very "faux".
With the cut/style of them they are kind of in-between wether you would put them under or over pantlegs. They are alost too bulky to go under, but cut low enough on the sides that pants keep popping out. I suspect that they would fill right up with snow. Fortunately I seldom get snow here on the West Coast.
OTHERWISE, the sole is good with good grip.
I bought them on sale so it is not worth sending them back, but I will hesitate to buy boots and shoes online again due to the poor footbed support.

My big clunky tall UGG boots from 3 years ago were pretty beaten up so I decided to try these. I love these boots! Super cute and very warm. And they make my 9.5 foot look rather small. They look great with a pair of slim jeans. And they slip right on without any effort. Grab them while they are available and on sale!

Had to return, impossible to get into
Cute boot, and I ordered the right size, but IMPOSSIBLE to get the foot in the short
shaft. had to go through returning for a refund. About to run a similar review for another
boot from lands end as well. I always size for winter socks in boots, something is
wrong with the sizing here. China?

The boots are terrific
I got the light brown. I love everything about these boots. You do need to wear with a straight leg pant. Wore them all day and they were very comfortable. Also my foot did not sweat which happens often with other shoes. I normally go up 1/2 size with boots, but because of some of the reviews I stayed with my normal size and the fit is perfect.

YIKES! really narrow
This is a lovely boot. Thought it was exactly what I was looking for. It was...until I tried it on. It was so narrow, I could not get my foot into it, no give in the shaft and extremely narrow at instep. I was sorry to have to return the boot..

On the narrow side.
Theoretically these boots should have fit in length but because I couldn't get my very high arched, slightly wide foot anywhere near to actually being in the boot to I wasn't able to test my theory.
So having never had them on my feet I can't say whether they are comfortable, warm, stylish, watertight or whatever qualities shoe buyers might be looking for. Untried they had to go back.
