Women's Polartec Aircore 200 Parka
Great jacket but runs small
I was excited to get this jacket but I should have taken the advice of the reviews saying it was too tight. It sure was! Tight all over. The Jacket has'nt much stretch. I can get away with a small in other polartech jackets but not this one although when I put it on it felt Very warm but maybe that's because I felt like a sausage in it. Anyway it went back and I ordered another jacket. I loved the red colour it's very rich.

Perfect Spring and Fall Coat
This coat is a great weight for spring, fall, and even cool summer evenings in the Pacific Northwest. I bought one very similar from Land's End several years ago and wanted to replace it with one like it. (It hadn't really worn out at all, but was starting to look a bit used.) I like this length, because it covers up when I wear longer blouses or my scrub tops. The hood and extra pockets are nice features, and the drawstring waist is flattering. It is warm without being bulky, and just right when you no longer need a heavier coat or parka. It zips well, and the option to unzip the bottom part is nice, although I haven't yet needed it. I usually wear a 1X and the petite XL fits me just fine; however, it would be snug if I wanted to wear a sweater under it, but I don't want to.

This jacket has no collar. The hood was built in place of the collar
The quality of the jacket is what I was looking for. I bought a gray one two years ago and wore it out. So I bought a second. What I discovered was it had no collar. I should have noticed from the photo. The hood was built in place of the collar. So unless I wear the hood up and look like a gangster I feel a chill down my neck. It is no good for golf or walking the dog.

Love it as always
This is my fourth jacket like this. I have always really liked them. The weight is nice because I don't get too hot when I am in a store.
I was disappointed to find that this one seems like a lighter weight than my others. It makes me sad to see Lands End cutting quality little by little. In fact, I wanted to order this over the phone, and I was on hold so long that I finally gave up. Years ago, you never waited to speak with a representative.
Two things that I think would make this a better product: a lining in the sleeves would make it much easier to pull on and off, and removing the two new labels that they have added. One is a tacky looking label at the bottom that says polartec. Who cares if it's polartec? And since I am a teacher, I can pull off wearing this to school with khakis. But now, the label looks unprofessional. They have also added a new strip around the collar advertising Lands End. Makes it look cheap.

This jacket is just what I wanted. The fit, the length, the double zipper, the weight, the softness -- all make it extremely versatile, comfortable and attractive. I am usually between a Medium and a Large - tried one of each, and went with the large to gain the extra room in arm holes and hips, allowing for more layering underneath. The drawstring waist keeps it from looking bulky. I ordered the "dark wine" color, and it looks more burgundy red than the purple color shown in the photo -- still a nice rich color, but not quite what I was expecting. Still, I'm very happy with the purchase, and this will definitely be my go-to jacket in all but really cold weather. (Those temperature ratings that all retailers use are never even close for me! I basically add at least 20 degrees -- so if they say comfortable until 30, I know it's really about 50 or 55. I've never come across a fleece of any kind by any producer that I'd be willing to wear if it's below the upper 40s, unless it's full sun and no wind.)

oooh, la, la -- blissful!!!
If you EVER need a layer, this is the one to have!! 1) Beautifully styled -- attractive longer length, and doesn't look woodsy on. 2) So comfortable -- stretchy yet still holds its shape, soft, breathable -- wow! 3) Punchy colors -- let's you go casual or a bit dressier with accessories. 4) Plenty of room to go over other layers, or just wear it next to your skin for a blissful feeling. 5) Washes beautifully -- but you don't even have to launder just for spills, because they rinse right out with fresh water, and the treated area then dries invisibly and almost instantly. 6) Can bundle up cozily when really cold, but also serves as a lighter layer when left unzipped. 7) Doesn't attract lint (which many fleeces do). 8) Rolls up into a ball and then emerges ready to wear! 9) Stays warm even when wet, to provide great protection (and you can even comfortably sleep in it when the power goes out!).
Indispensable for travel, for everyday, for stowing in a tote, for throwing on as you rush out the door, for TV watching or lingering over the paper and a cup of coffee. You'll wear this everywhere!!!

Light Weight With Warmth
This parka did not disappoint. The fit is generous and can be worn over sweaters with no problems. It is light weight but I was warm without becoming too hot. I especially like the zipper which can be unzipped from the bottom for ease when sitting and getting in and out of the car. I generally dress casually but can wear this parka over a nice outfit for an evening out - just add a nice scarf!

I was surprised!
I have a Lands End Polartec parka I purchased almost 10 years ago. I bought it for walking the dogs, but found myself wearing it all the time because it is warm and a lot lighter then any other winter coat. I was scared when I got my new parka, but I find it to be a lot more comfortable because the soft fleece is next to your skin. One of the best things about this coat is it's range of temperature. You can wear it to a place where you can't leave your coat, like a shopping mall, and not get over-heated and yet it keeps you warm enough for winter temps when you go outside. If you do need to carry it, it's like carrying a sweat jacket. Great for taking on trips between two temperature extremes because it fits easily into a suitcase. One tip though, the wind will go up the sleeves not allowing the Polartec to trap body heat. Wearing something with long sleeves will solve this problem. It does not have to be anything heavy. I would order another one but they last so long, it may be another 10 years! I'm going to see if the hay sticks to it. If it doesn't, my sister is going one!

I purchased this because of the temperature rating, which is not accurate. I thought this would be great for walking the dog or riding the horse because it was light weight and supposed to be warm. First day I received this it was 45, took the dog a walk and about froze. It is also much longer than in the picture, I am 5'7". I would have returned it, but becuse shipping is so expensive I kept it. The only way this will be warm in cold weather is multiple layers beneath which defects the purpose of lightweight warmth.
