Great quality and fit, except for the sleeves
The quality of the material is excellent, and the fit is great, except he sleeves are not long enough. The sleeves are almost like cap sleeves, not flattering on just about anyone, unless you have perfectly toned arms. Just another inch added to the length of the sleeves would make a big difference in the overall look of the dress.
Lands End always fitted their clothes on real people, and over the last 20 years I have come to appreciate this attention to detail, and the way the clothes fit. It seems that don't do this any more, if real people had tried this dress on in all the sizes it would have been apparent that the sleeves needed to be longer.

Fabulous Frock
I am usually 18W, I ordered this size and it fits perfectly. I love the colour, fabric and style. The frock was crushed from the journey but pressed up well. This frock will be perfect for a night at the theatre or with a cardigan for work. I love it and wish the green had been available when I ordered as I would have purchased that too. A great addition to my wardrobe.

Designed for a sack of flour
I liked the fabric, but overall, this was the most poorly tailored Lands End garment I can remember trying on. It truly seemed to have been fitted for a sack of flour. Bust darts were in the wrong place, the collar didn't sit right, it just wasn't at all comfortable, when it should have been a pretty universally flattering dress.

sleeves are set wrong
This dress was nice but I couldn't lift my arms without the whole garment hiking up. Uncomfortable and unglamorous. I had the same problem with the Fit 'n' Flare dress. There were complaints from other customers that the sleeves were too small, but that's not the problem. The armholes were huge on me. But the sleeves are set at a downward angle, and without any gussets. This is a design that works for knits but not for wovens. It is done to save a few cents on fabric and labor. I hope Land's End stops cheaping out like that because I would have loved this dress if only the sleeves were comfortable. I love the vintage style.

Pretty, flattering style
Love this dress, but wish it came in Misses sizes. I normally wear 18W, but found it much too large in the bust. Re-ordered a 16W and it fits much better! I think a Misses 18 would have been even better! The simple style allows a variety of accessory options. I look forward to wearing on several occasions.
