Size up for an apple shape?
So, I have mixed reviews on this suit. I ordered it and I'm going to have to return it because it doesn't fit me properly. It looks to be well-constructed. Part of the problem is with my anatomy. I am an apple shape, plus size, with a disproportionally large stomach. I am a pretty solid 22 and have even lost a few pounds lately, so that's the size I ordered. The problem is, the top part of the suit is narrower than the bottom/middle, and since it's a one piece I have to get that really narrow part past my gut in order to put the thing on. Because the material is very heavy/thick and spandex-like (usually a good thing because it smooths you out), getting it past my stomach was difficult, nearly impossible. I felt like I was trying to squeeze into a sausage casing. I'm not even sure if going up a size will help. I don't want to detract from the general awesomeness of the suit, because it does look really nice, but I wanted to warn those who may have a body type similar to my own.

Fits perfectly and I appreciated the longer length of this suit. Plus the neckline is not as low as some suits. Is perfect!

At 5'6" and over 210 pounds I thought I would never wear a swim suit again, but a miracle has happened. I actually feel good in this suit. I ordered the 18W. I went with the bust size rather than hips. I didn't want the top to gap and it doesn't. It is not bulky at all but it is substantial. The suit is lined in addition to the layer of fabric for the skirt. The bra is underwire and that helps to give me some shape. The skirt starts right under the bust with a little flair. Great for my body shape. Perfect for our week at the beach this summer. I plan to live it. It is far more comfortable than shorts that would bind or ride up. And the turquoise color is beautiful. Perhaps a little more intense than it appears in the picture. Thank you Lands End from this beach loving "plus-sized" California dreamin' woman.

I normally go for tankinis because I feel "smaller" ...but I tried this on in store to see if it provided more coverage for my problem area (my thighs!) I was very pleasantly surprised!!! It comes down far enough to cover more than a swim mini but doesn't look homely or like I'm wearing a sheet. Aqua color is very bright and fun. Gives adequate coverage in chest too without the weight of a halter strap around my neck. Plus size doesn't mean we have to completely give up style. I can chase my kids around without feeling exposed or self conscious. I am 5'6", DD and wear 18w. Comes down in length about 2" longer than swim mini. Bravo lands end!

Cute and simple
I love this suit! I got it in the turquoise color and it is a very bright vibrant color. I am 5'7" and the skirt falls to my mid thigh. The undersuit holds everything in nicely while the outer skirt hangs loosely so it is very flattering. The underwire is great for support, the only thing I don't like is that it mashes my boobs down a little but it is not uncomfortable. Swimming in it is great, it fits securely with nothing sliding off or riding up. The skirt is even long enough to tie in a knot at the waist if you want a different look. This is a nice modest suit with good coverage but still feels youthful and fun.
