Design: Oxford shirts have a great history, so we started at the beginning. Substantial in weight and unexpectedly soft, our 5-ounce cotton oxford combines simple, timeless styling with our updated fit that offers more room in the bust and a slightly longer length.

Possibilities: Wear it untucked over a tee or under a cardigan for a professorial, fresh-from-school attitude (in a good way).

Heritage: Oxford cloth originated in the late 1800s at a Scottish fabric mill. It was one of four shirt fabrics named after famous universities, including Cambridge, Harvard and Yale. But only the Oxford cloth stood the test of time. The unique warp and weft weave gives the fabric more texture. And proper Oxfords have buttondown collars, a nod to their sporting heritage.
