Here, in the heart of Wisconsin, we know what cold really feels like. (Can you say -35° wind chill?) Short of hibernating inside, that means covering as much as possible. As the longest coat in the Lands’ End® f(x) collection, this maxi style provides maximum warmth, maximum coverage in the harshest weather conditions — be it cold, wind, snow, sleet and more. It features 600 fill power insulation encased in a durable nylon shell, plus plenty of weather-fighting “extras.” The attached hood easily adjusts with one hand — simply pull the bungee cord on each side and it holds in place. A hidden bungee enables adjustments in back. The higher placket offers extra protection while a chin saver at the top prevents nips. Coat is equipped with zip side pockets, plus a handy zip pocket at the chest. Finished with an inside mesh pocket and an inside zip pocket. Adding fashion to function, this coat has engineered quilt lines and princess seams that create a distinct design and lend a bit of shape. Machine wash. Imported.

Women's f(x)? Down Maxi Coat 4 5 3 3
The Pluses Make up for the Minuses Very attractive coat and luxuriously long. It is loose-fitting. I too find inadequate fill in the arms. Am looking into arm warmers. My biggest problems with the coat are the lack of a collar and a hood that is not removable. The coat does not close tightly around the neck. If the elastic strings around the hood are tightened to pull the coat in at the neck, the elastic digs in at the back of the neck. I tried putting the hood on and then pulling in the elastic cords but the band then digs in on my forehead. So I use a scarf. I am disappointed that the Lands End buyer selected a coat without a collar. I am putting up with the neck because I love the coat. The blue color, regent, is vibrant. The black is elegant. But for the problems, I would buy more colors, the coat is so lovely to wear. It flows gracefully and I feel graceful wearing it. Landsend, are you listening? The coat needs a soft collar that closes snugly and the hood should be removable. February 16, 2013
Love this coat! This is by far my favorite coat. Love the fit, style and color...love the pop of purple against the black! Have had many conpliments...would definitely buy it again! February 13, 2013
BEAUTIFUL BUT NOT WARM ENOUGH DUE TO COLD SPOTS I wore this coat when it was 30 degrees and windy in upstate New York and my arms were ice cold. There is no down on the bottom of the arm from the shoulder to the elbow. There is no filling under the arm and around the beginning of the back, either, so the cold goes right through the coat. Where there is down, it is warm enough. The extra room under the arms and around the top portion of the back is the result of lack of filling. I'll have to return the coat and look for one with uniform insulation. February 9, 2013
