Weird fit! I agree with the other reviewers - order down a size in these, and the belt is USELESS. That being said, these fit me very strangely and made my backside look really wide. Also, where the cuffs are rolled up, it was kind of bunchy and I could see them coming unrolled in the back constantly. Looked like a linen diaper. Sending back! April 26, 2013
Excellent shorts if you buy down a size and remove the tie I love these shorts. I first bought them in a size 14 and they were so big they actually fell off. A size twelve was perfect. The tie is silly and not very useful but I just removed it and the shorts are perfect without it. The design idea may have been to cut big and fit by cinching in the waist but this is not flattering on anyone who isn't thin and narrow hipped. I have a lot of trouble getting shorts that are comfortable and reasonably flattering; these shorts are both. One of my favorite Land's End purchases. September 17, 2012
Not really for my body shape I absolutely love linen, specially because I've been living in a very hot place. These shorts are very cute and I like the design. I usually wear a size 4 for bottoms, but felt these were a bit loose and they take in a boxy, unflattering, awkward shape as you wear them during the day. I feel the fit looks messy with time and now I don't even want to wear them anymore. Perhaps they would fit women with a fuller figure. My body shape is elongated with narrow hips. August 9, 2012
Nice quality, but way, way too big in the waist I just received 2 pairs of these shorts. I love the style and fabric. However, the sizing is way too big in the waist. I ordered my usual size 2. I had about three inches opening on the waist. Even with the belt tied, they looked enormous. I love the style so much, but they don't seem to come in a smaller size. Sad to say, I will be returning these. June 30, 2012
I like but don't like I like the shorts but not the belt tie. It is way to long and if I try to double know it, it just looks horrible. June 5, 2012
