Beautiful fabric I love this shirt. It is comfortable and fits well. The design is a bit ordinary, but what I really love is the fabric. It is so finely woven and airy, and the blue birds and greeny brown background flecks are such a pretty combination. More cotton/silk blends and imaginative and sophisticated prints like this please! DOESN'T FIT i ORDERED MY NORMAL SAIE 0,THE SHOULDER IS TOO WIDE,DOESN'T FIT RIGHT! CAN EASY SEE INSIDE.A LITTLE SHORT. March 7, 2013
Not Fitted, Light Weight and Sheer, But Nice I read all the *hysterical* reviews about this shirt and was, frankly, confused. The description *clearly* states "lightweight" and fabric content (cotton/silk). You can see from the model the garment is not fitted and falls a bit *above* the hips. The description also states "popover" which means it will be a bit roomy and not fitted.....so why all the fuss? I love this shirt. It is a bit sheer (it is *not* shiny, and two pockets are strategically placed across the bust, so you really have nothing to worry about), but nothing a camisole won't fix: Isn't layering something a lot of ladies like, anyway? I normally wear a size 12 because even though I'm not overweight, I have a large bust (36DD), and it fit perfectly. The shirt fell a bit above the hips, as pictured, and I happen to like that - I don't have to tuck it in. The print is lovely and *exactly* as shown. I give it two thumbs up! February 16, 2013
good for a petite I am petite 10-12 in regular lands end, 10 fit perfectly. If you are petite and busted, the shirt fits quite nicely. It is a generous cut, this is what i liked. Nice pattern (birds), not as sheer given the light weight fabric. January 27, 2013
Really wanted to like it, really! I was disappointed in this top. I really wanted to like it, and I wasn't really worried about the transparency. I knew it would be sheer, and it was, but nothing a camisole wouldn't handle with ease. I loved the bird design, very nice and refined. The top was roomy, but not bad; however, it really was boxy and shapeless. Now, my shape isn't what it once was, but the top really accentuates the negative, and there's no way to get around it, believe me, I've tried. I think someone with a thinner figure, in skinny jeans or leggings would do fine with this. The length was great for me, as I'm short-waisted, but could not get it to work for me. Pity, so much going for it, but not enough for me! January 24, 2013
Boxy, Shapeless, Shiny Well, like the description says, it IS lightweight. I knew that going in, but the cotton/silk mix seems to bring out the worst of both. The silk is shiny like polyester and nearly see-through like the worst of white cotton shirts. But on top of the material, it's shapeless and boxy. Which, okay, tunic - but it's so short that I can barely tuck it in, hardly long enough to be tunic-like. And the blue bird print is a lot busier than I anticipated. In the zoomed out picture of the model, the birds stand out from the shirt and the other part of the pattern fades; zoom in, or see the next picture, and you'll see what I mean a bit better. The bees pattern seems to be a lot simpler. It reminds me of something a peasant farmer would wear. Not in a good way. November 25, 2012
Pretty Pretty print and fits well. It is sheer but not see-through. Looks nice with jeans or dressier pants. November 9, 2012
Boxy, shapeless and transparent You have got to be kidding me with this shirt. I fell in love with it on the website (bees) and ordered it right away, something I rarely do - I usually wait for sales. I did use a 40% off coupon, but even if this shirt were free I'd pass. It was big and shapeless, which might have been OK if it were tunic length, but it was also bizarrely short. So although I could go down a size, I wouldn't bother since I'd end up with a belly shirt. The fabric is a nice, refined feeling cotton/silk but other than that there is nothing nice to say about this shirt. November 6, 2012
