Very impressive
I am impressed by this jacket. It is great for just wearing out on a weekend afternoon and also works as a coat to the office if you don't want to wear an overcoat. The most surprising thing about this coat is how warm it is. I would say that you can comfortably wear this until about 20 degrees. Interestingly the other reviewer likes the the large size. I am about 5'11" 175 and I went with a medium and wouldn't want it any larger. I think its probably a style thing, but if you want a tighter look don't hesitate to go for the medium

Rich, handsome, and substantial...
...describes this jacket, and how one feels when wearing it. I'm used to being pleased with Canvas products, but this jacket blew me away. It's very warm (good for temps., say, from 25-50 degrees), and is very well constructed. I really like the lining - satin in the sleeves for easy on/off, and a tight dark navy poplin in the body. The stitching on the body lining is in a lighter thread, so you can see how precisely it was sewn. It also made me think of a pinstripe suit jacket. So, even the inside of the jacket is natty.
To paint a romantic picture, a copywriter might say that if your father attended Princeton in the '50's and had a large clothing budget, he may well have had a jacket like this. And, it would still be in his house somewhere - like buried treasure.
If Polo offered a jacket like this, it would be in the $800.00 range. This jacket is posh, just not pricey.
I'm 5'10.5", 173 lbs. The L fits just as I like - neat, not tight.
Thanks!
