Description
Single-ply yarn creates a non-solid solid color.
- Soft poplin fabric
- Buttondown collar
- Classic dress-shirt tailoring
- Perfect fit: your exact neck and sleeve sizes
- Tailored Fit: trim, for a cleaner look
End on end means that the color yarns are crossed with white yarns. So, from a distance this shirt appears to be solid color; up close, the interesting texture/pattern becomes obvious. The 100% cotton is combed to remove short, weak fibers. Single-ply yarns minimize texture. But the yarn’s “40s” diameter is the same as in our Hyde Park Oxford, so it’s strong (while the different weave keeps this fabric from being heavy). Machine wash. Imported.

Two sails - disappointed
I've been a loyal Lands' End customer ever since I graduated college and entered the workforce. I feel that the company's business model is perfect for someone who is looking for a high quality product at an affordable price. The one problem that I ran into with Lands' End was the sizing of their dress shirts, which was often too large for my skinny frame. However, this problem was solved when I started purchasing Lands' Ends Tailored Fit shirts. Unfortunately, this shirt lacks the quality that other Lands' End products are known for. The material is incredibly thin and wrinkles easily. I expected this predicament as it is not a non-iron shirt, but I did not my shirt to be wrinkled after sitting in a desk chair for less than a half an hour. Additionally, the shirt is difficult to iron and I find it hard to remove the wrinkles without creating new ones. I may try to give the shirt one more wear before I decide on returning it, but I hope that this is the most disappointed I will be with a Lands' End product.

Very thin weave, only good for hot summer days.
Not up to the quality I had come to expect from Lands End. Yes, from a distance, it appears to be a solid color shirt, but the reality is it is a very lightweight weave that is not good for pressing or starching at the cleaners if you need a "crisp" business casual shirt. Know what you are buying, I made a mistake....
