Feeling cool in India’s intense heat made the fabric famous — so imagine how good our Madras Shirt will feel where you live. But we weren’t content to recreate the fabric. Although it’s woven in India like the original, we improved it — with single-ply yarns that are ring­spun for strength, and softness born of garment washing. 100% cotton. Machine wash. Imported.

breezy shirt for warm weather I love these shirts. My husband has two of these now and I notice that he tends to wear them very regularly in warmer weather. After washing they iron up very fast and look great! A note on sizing: my husband , 6 ft tall, who has a very large chest, fits easily in size L. June 9, 2013

Attractive plaid, fits perfectly I bought this for my husband and my son and they both really like the shirt. It's very soft after each washing, fits perfectly, and the orange/blue/green is a nice color combination. Looks especially nice with khakis. My son (45) likes to wear his shirt over a white tee. Faux-Madras, not the real thing This fabric is not at all the quality I've come to expect from Land's End... it says "Genuine Madras" on the webpage, but the Label on this paper-thin shirt clearly states "Made in Sri Lanka". It's a dreadful feel to an otherwise good-looking shirt. I'm quite ashamed for y'all, Land's End, and I've never ever had to call to say that before. May 13, 2013
