Nice shirt but too short Really loved the shirt -- everything from the fabric to the buttons. The colors and designs weren't too bad either. Sadly, the shirt is just too short. It would expose my side with just a slight lift of the shoulder. Had to send it back. May 2, 2013
My favorite shirt I have two colors of this twill workshirt, and they are my two favorite shirts. They fit great, the length is perfect (I hate shirts that hang down mid-thigh untucked), and the colors are great. March 22, 2013
Great overshirt I purchased three of these for my son who is 6' and slim build. Ordered all in XL because he loves wearing them over a t-shirt. After the first purchase, he wore so often that I went a head and bought two more. They do get softer with washing and the colors are very warm and even better than pictured. They will last for many years as he heads off to college and do look more put together (no ironing needed) than his wrinkled lighter weight plaid shirts. March 10, 2013
LEC's misleading photo approach strikes again The various colors on this shirt look nothing like the product photos. Every shade is warmer than depicted, and the gold tone is more like dried mustard. To top it off the top block is cut such that if you have slightly broad shoulders or you've ever bench pressed in your life it will pull, an irritating trend in LEC's otherwise nicely fitting shirts. Back it's going. February 28, 2013
Great looking shirt, just too short The shirt is made of a nice heavy fabric, great quality and construction, it's just simply 2" too short. I ordered a medium, it fits perfectly in the shoulders and arms, but when i lift my arms up, the bottom of the shirt comes right up and will show the top of my pants/stomach. My girl says it looks normal and that she doesn't notice anything, but i'm still debating returning the shirt. If you have a short torso, go ahead and order. If not, I'd rethink it. January 21, 2013
Belly Shirt The length of this shirt is about 4" shorter than other LEC shirts (6'2, swimmer's build, Medium LEC usually fits live a glove). Reaching above the head will cause your stomach to show. I ordered the Flint Blue Plaid and Classic Navy Plaid and both were true to the photos. The material was heavy and in theory should last a while. None of which matters if it fits like a belly shirt for men. Heed the earlier reviews and stay away. January 14, 2013
Tough Shirt This si a heavy shirt. It looks like flannel, but it has a denser weave and is not fuzzy like a flannel, its sort of coarse. My only issue is the mistake i made wearing this without an undershirt the first time. It was like wearing a cheese grater. The more I wear it, the softer it gets. The shirt has kind of broken in like a pair of jeans. Fits slim, but a little snug in the shoulders. Warm tough shirt. December 24, 2012
too short this shirt looks great in person, love the pattern/color but its too short. Im 6'2" and thin and usually wear mediums. the sides didnt even hit my belt and thats before washing it. The fabric felt sturdy and heavy but it seemed a lil constricting in the upper chest. Im returning it due to these factors. I dont recommend unless youre shorter. December 12, 2012
Perfect fall shirt Could use to be a little more fitted for my taste, but that is my only complaint. Great material and pattern. November 10, 2012
Mediocre at best, flaws in the design Fit: fits tailored, is a bit short. I'm 5'8", 165, 40" chest, 34" waist, the small is just right in the arms/chest/waist but it's short, not optimal length for tucking in. Will probably have to wear un-tucked. Construction: I own some twill shirts from some other reputable makers and this twill is comparatively lightweight. However, it's soft and comfortable and will likely handle moderate abuse. Time will tell. The cuffs don't have a "middle" button and the cut is such that there are large gaps at the ends of the sleeves before the cuff button; it feels a bit drafty on the arms. This definitely detracts from the shirt to have these wide splayed open gaps. Look: the colors are not nearly as vibrant in person as they are online, it's much more dull in person. That being said, some people may prefer that look, but part of why I wanted this shirt is because of the colorful POP; in person it is much more sedate and lacks that colorful brightness.
