That's why every Lands' End® tie is handsewn, so it knots neatly, hangs straight and lasts a long, long time. Another thing we insist on: always cutting the fabric exactly at a 45-degree bias. It's this precise angle that allows the finished tie to lie flat and resist turning over to one side — a defect called "corkscrewing." 100% silk. Hand sewn in the USA. Dry clean.

Item misdescribed--too narrow! I own a number of LE striped ties and generally like them. But the latest one I ordered (and will soon be returning) is more like 3 1/8" wide when website & catalog say 3 1/2", which is the width I prefer--and I wouldn't even mind seeing some 3 3/4" ties come back (hint hint). I know that skinnier ties are in fashion currently but they're not my cup of tea, and at any rate the dimensions of all items should be described accurately so that customers aren't put through the hassle, aggravation & waste of time that come when LE can't get its copy right. looks good but not as well made as before I have owned at least three versions of this tie from Lands' End and have replaced it as previous ties have worn out. Good looking tie but the latest version doesn't have an interlining which makes it look cheap and hang poorly. Knots well, fabric looks nice, but doesn't have the heft of the previous models from lands'End. April 18, 2013

Ties easily and looks sharp. The quality of the tie met my expectations. I wore it with my Navy Blue Blazer. It looked great. It has a sturdy construction and I have confidence it will last. The color is true to the picture on the web site. March 17, 2012
Nice but not as good as the excellent University of Wales Tie It was disappointing at first, as it had a crease in the middle probably from the packing. A second tie had the same problem but was fine after being dry cleaned and ironed, {This was paid for by Lands End} The Lands End University of Wales tie was impeccable. April 3, 2011
Still looks like new after 25 years. This I've owned this Argyll & Sutherland Highlander for about 25 years. It is my go to tie. It never goes out of style. It always looks great with a navy blaser and grey slacks. Still looks like new! People continue to compliment me on this one. This was a great purchase. January 2, 2011
