Not bad, but...
...it could be better. For reference, I purchased the yellow, and I am a scrawny 5'4" 116lb guy. I tried a size S.
First, the pros:
-The button-down club collar thing is pretty gosh-darned rare, and it's very interesting.
-As a direct result of the first point, this means you can actually spear through the buttonholes of the collar with a collar pin (read: large kilt pin) for that Gordon Gekko look without worrying about destroying a shirt. It's pretty awesome.
-The shirt fits me well in the chest. I wouldn't call it tight, but it is comparable to an extra slim fit in Brooks Brothers, albeit with a little more generous of a cut. Nothing major, really: maybe an extra inch.
-The length is nice. Take this with a grain of salt, because I am a very short guy. Taller folks may want to get exact sizing measurements from a LEC representative.
-Overall, the fabric is nice. Standard LEC oxford.
Now the bad...
-The yellow is a bit shocking. Maybe I'm not a yellow guy. I had to trawl through a few forums and sit with a color swatch and my wardrobe to figure out how I was going to wear it. It's not as bright as you see in these photos.
-The fabric in the chest is a tad thin. I actually didn't notice until I tried it on a second time with a black tee on underneath. I avoid wearing dark tees with my button shirts, but this may be an issue for some folks.
-The sleeves are very big. I'm not gonna lie, I could have more meat on my bones (especially in the arm department, because I'm pretty much the poster child for wimp), but I felt a little like Jerry Seinfeld in that episode where he has to wear a pirate shirt. Okay, maybe not that bad, but I seriously do have to have a tailor take them in. I was actually very surprised, because typically LEC's shirts fall into one of two camps: they fit me wonderfully in the chest and arms, or they don't fit in either. It is a bit odd to have a decent fit in the chest and baggy arms. Again, nothing a tailor can't fix, but I'm not impressed.
Overall, it's a decent shirt, and the oxford club collar is certainly interesting. I hope you LEC guys read this, because the collar pin thing, while likely unintentional, is seriously cool. A red shirt with a white button-down club collar would be Boardwalk Empire-tier on the cool scale. The color is, for me, off-putting, and the sleeves are a bit too baggy for my liking. The shirt may fit more properly for guys with actual muscle mass, but I'm still kind of on the fence here.
