looks great, feels fantastic
I love this hoodie because it's very warm and yet not too heavy. The lighter weight material also looks great and does not have that bulky appearance.

Do not order too big!
My husband thinks all the sweatshirts he wears (not Lands End's) all shrink up too much. So he insisted on XL. This XL was huge on him, much bigger than any XL from any other place. He was literally swimming in it.
We just need it to be long, not so big around. I, too, wish they made this in a "tall" size. The fleece we bought in a tall fits him great.
Material in this is not flimsy in my opinion--just a very good sweatshirt weight. And it is definitely well made, and a great color. Had to go back, though, since it was just entirely too big.

Super soft and comfy!
I'm a fairly small build but bought the men's version because women's hoodies are usually too short. This is just the right amount of 'roomy', which allows me to wear a long sleeve shirt underneath and have extra room. The material is incredibly soft and cozy. I love it.

Material has gotten flimsy
I bought this hoodie maybe 5 years ago and the difference in Material is noticeably thinner. It seems Land;s End has followed the rest of the country in providing lesser quality for the same price.

Great Sweatshirt
I have purchased this sweatshirt for most of the guys in my family, husband, son, father, and uncles. It seems to be everyone's favourite as one of them always seem to be wearing one. I have purchased them in most colours and they wash well with minimal fading, no shrinking or pilling. We have them in the zipped and crew neck versions as well. They are certainly a staple in my family.

just thought it would be a little more substantial...
So I bought this sweatshirt as a gift with monogramming. I got it in the mail today and was VERY surprised as how thin it was. The pictures and some of the reviews were very deceiving. While I like the plain look of it, the weight is certainly not thick enough to wear outdoors during the winter. Which is in fact why I bought it in the first place. Normally things like this are not a big deal, but I had monogramming added which now it can't be returned......

What's my favorite shirt this December?
I've washed my blue sweat shirt about 5 times this week, and it still looks brand new. Glad I read the directions and I turned it inside out each time I washed it. Color stays bright and there's no shrinkage. I couldn't resist buying it in 3 more colors. In fact I bought another as a gift.

Great Quality - Not a good fit for me
For reference, I'm 6'2" and about 185lbs.
The L was too short in the sleeves and in the body, and the XL was too bloomy in the body so I didn't keep either, unfortunately. I'm not a skinny guy and don't mind a loose, comfortable fit, but the XL seems designed for a fairly rotund fellow. It's a shame because the quality, color and style all seem very good. I just wish there was a L/Tall option.
