Great Fit
Canvas has it out of the ballpark with these cords. Great fit at a 30x30. I run, so I have slim legs, so if you have thick thighs and calves, I'd probably go with the straight fit.
I own all the colors but the green. When the green is on sale with a good discount code, I'm snatching them up.

Great Value
It was great to find a reasonably priced pair of cords that are actually a slim fit (not just "tapered" or "tailored"). The fabric is reasonably mid-weight and construction is fine. A great value!

"Slim" is not even close
Bought this pant in my usual waist size and could not even button them closed - not even close. Either they're mis-marked or someone has a bizarre sense of what "slim fit" means. The Bittersweet color is nice and the fabric is a decent, lightweight corduroy. Unfortunately, way too tight. I don't know how the model in the photo even got these pants on. If purchasing, be sure to order up one or even two sizes.

Skinny, not slim
Quality was fine and I like the appearance. However, fit was off - was supposed to be "slim," but actually "skinny." If you want skinny, you'd probably like these.

Waaaaay too tight!
I like the slim fit pants from Canvas from seasons past, but I wasn't even able to pull these pants all the way up. These should be labeled "skinny" not "slim". Very disappointed.

Great Quality, Ludicrously Tight
If you're like me and bought slim fit pants from Lands End Canvas before this relaxed/dressed-up ambiguous description phase, these cords are going to be way tighter than you expect. The cliche of 'painted on' is apt.
I have no idea if this is how they're cutting all their slim pants now (mainly because they don't tell us).

Great Modern Cords
Great slim fit. I bought the green pair and they look awesome. I am a skateboarder and wanted a pair of pants that had the modern "slim fit" (tapered with a 14.5-15.5 leg opening) for skating, but still were grown up enough to wear in a more formal occasion with a shirt and tie. These pants are very nicely tapered, not too tight in the thighs which is the problem with a lot of slim fits. They are lightweight and have a lot of give in the fabric, great when doing anything active. They fit a tad small due to the slim fit, I usually wear a 33 and a 34 was perfect for me. True to size in the length. I'm going to buy as many pairs of the new canvas slim fit as I possibly can since they are well priced in relation to similar brands (they are definitely up to par with J. Crew at this point as far as quality is concerned).
