I was going to give this as a gift but changed my mind and kept it! :)
I usually never take the time to write a review but I just have to on this blanket. I was going to give this away as a gift for a family member but when it came in I loved it so much I had to keep it! It is SO soft and I find it to be warm but not sweltering like some blankets...the way it is knitted allows air to circulate. My family fought over this blanket two years ago so I decided to order another one this past Christmas! We now have a teal and a red...and we love them both! One last note...I have to comment on the review that said the blanket falls apart in the washing machine. I have washed both of my blankets several times in the washing machine on the regular cycle (cold water) and have never had any problems with the quality. Perhaps the reviewer has something in her washer that is catching on the blanket and snagging it.

Soft, warm, beautiful throw
I purchased my first chenille throw 4 years ago for my mother-in-law. It was a beautiful teal color, and when it came I was thrilled. Since then I have purchased over than a dozen more in various colors - mostly for Christmas presents. The red is a nice rich red, and the navy is nice too. They are always well-received. One arrived one day my daughter was home sick from school. She begged me to let her snuggle up in it… so we purchased 5 more for our kids, and one to keep on the sofa downstairs. They are wonderful. I haven't washed ours much yet - so I don't know how well it washes (and did come with a bit of a strange smell). I buy things frequently at LE (coats, swimsuits, shirts, skirts, shorts), but this may be my favorite item. I'd highly recommend this!

This throw is super soft and warm, but the quality of the product is very poor.
This throw is the perfect color and is super soft and warm. After reading such great reviews, I decided to order one. I loved it when it arrived. After washing this item on the delicate cycle however, the throw was completely coming apart. I then decided to exchange it for another one. Lands' End is known for its quality products and I was sure it would not happen again. Nothing is perfect and so I just thought I received that "defective one." The second one arrived and I threw that straight into the washing machine to see if the same thing would happen. This time, there was less coming apart, but there was still enough to be disappointed. I then tried a third time thinking, "the third time is the charm." I was WRONG! This time, when it arrived, the throw was already damaged! There was a huge string bundle that was very noticeable right when I removed it from the bag it came in! There were also blue and red particles all over the throw. I must have received someone else's returned item! This is unacceptable! Again, I put this one in the washing machine. I thought that maybe I could look passed the string, but when I took the throw out of the washing machine there was even more damage and the blue and red particles did not come off! I returned this item for the last time.
BEWARE: This item seems great when you receive it, but please WASH it before deciding to keep it! For paying this much for a throw, I would at the very least want it to last more than one or two washes in the washing machine. I returned this item a total of 3 times! This was very inconvenient! Lands' End is not living up to its reputation! Of course the returns were accepted very easily, but the entire process wasted a lot of time.

Love it!
This throw is cozy, warm, soft, cuddly . . . . . . . . exactly what you need on a cold winter night. It has not been laundered yet, so I cannot speak to the durability. That's why I cannot give it more than a four.

Best throw ever
This throw is truly amazing. It is soft, comfy and warm. The cream color is great. It is very high quality. I love it so much, I am going to order another one. I can't say enough about the quality and comfort of this throw.

best throw I have ever had!
This is the second one of these I have purchased. They wash well, stay true to color and are very warm. I bought one for my husband for Christmas so we both have one now. I also sent one to my mother in law for Chrisdtmas.

Love this!
Best throw! It is large enough for two people and long enough to cover you completely. Very sturdy and lovely enough to drape over the sofa. Perfect!

The throw is soft as a puppy dog's snow. smile
I bought this as a Christmas present for my one of my son's and his wife............they loved it.
It soft and comfortable when watching television or anything and keeps you warm.
She told me they really loved it. Yes I told other's about it...........even the colors were nice. and it wash's well.
