Design: We've appropriated the style of the authentic Mac, and crafted it in a more wearable, not so heavy, stonewashed cotton. The fabric is water resistant, so no worries if you get caught in a shower. The interior pockets are beautifully functional there's a place for your phone, MP3 player, passport, and more.
Possibilities: This coat could become your favorite jacket. The shorter length makes it more wearable, whether to work or wherever.
Heritage: The original Macintosh coat is named for Scottish chemist Charles Macintosh who, in 1822, created a waterproof fabric consisting of two layers of cotton with a layer of rubber in between. He intended it solely for use as tarpaulins, but tailors of the day quickly adapted it for use in raincoats. The shorter, riding length being one of their favorite designs.
Material: 100% cotton, Machine wash. Imported.
